"Unstable Low"

t-strm (2).jpg (13403 bytes)

Here are some images taken by Mark Rozitis a reporter for Global News.

Here we have what appears to be the base of the storm. You can see a area where the clouds are lowered which is most likely the location of the main updraft in this storm.
stormcloud3 (2).jpg (9161 bytes) A closer image shows some interesting shear bending and twisting the cloud in all directions.
cloud (2).jpg (7580 bytes) At this point it appears as if that piece of scud just left to the center of of the image was trying to rotate.
fierce cloud (2).jpg (5648 bytes) Definitely some strong inflow here leading to this rapid scud development.
alliston stormcloud (2).jpg (8610 bytes) Appears as if it is starting to weaken.
innisfill flood4 (2).jpg (18554 bytes) Well maybe it did not produce a cold air funnel but it sure did drop some rain.
flood2 (2).jpg (23714 bytes) This poor forest was definitely engulfed by water.
flood1 (2).jpg (21951 bytes) You have an idea of the depth at which it was.
