STUTTGART ARKANSAS TORNADO DAMAGE |
On the way home we made a detour and passed through Stuttgart Arkansas. The SPC report read "damage on south side of town" so we did not expect to see much, plus the tornado damage was already a week old. Well we were in for a surprise! After passing a few damaged homes we made our way to the south side of the town which was severely damaged. Fortunately there are no known fatalities reported with this specific tornado and the towns main source of revenue which is a giant grain plant was not damaged. The damage was a good mix of F1 and F2 winds with the Sherwin-Williams paint store and another un-identifiable building showing F3 damage. The NWS has rated the Stuttgart Tornado as an EF3 with winds of 136 - 165 MPH or 218 - 265 km/h
