MAY 20TH

Kansas finally produced some pretty storms! No real supercells or funnels / tornadoes to be had (not yet) but there were some beautiful storms and we had major chaser convergence! Saw old faces and met some new people in person I have spoken to on the web.

MAY 16TH

Resting in Colby Kansas for the night! Lots of driving earlier in the day and unfortunately Colorado simply did not preform, there was just not enough moisture to be had. I still managed to get some great shots along the way including a great sunset in Kansas.

While leaving Colorado a poor bird was the victim of my vehicles bumper! Scroll down from the video and a picture. Ouch!

MAY 15TH

Resting after a long drive in Kearney Nerbraska... woo! Hoping for some action in Kansas tomorrow from upslope storms in East Colorado.

In the meantime here are some images from the road! Enjoy!

MAY 14TH

Finally arrived in Illionois, resting for the night! I think I'm going to sleep in tomrrow, then we are meeting with a fellow chaser in Iowa before we head off to Nebraska for the big storms Monday and Tuesday!

Now I'm off to get some R & R!

MAY 11TH

Stressing out just a little, still have a number of things to finish off before I can say I am ready! I expect to leave May 13th in the afternoon hours and will blast towards tornado alley! The start of the week looks quiet but it is going to ramp-up by mid-week and really get going!

In the mean time here is a photo I took last year showing the Hennesy Oklahoma tornado, what a beautiful cone! Nothing like a high risk day in the heart of the alley!
