The first few flakes began to fly at 1:30 PM near York University, only 15 minutes later visibility had dropped to 250m |

| Waiting for the bus is not fun in snow, especially when it is blasting into your face |

| The major routes were also covered quickly making rush hour miserable |

| Amounts just north of the city were getting very high, the -5 temperature with the fluffy snow helped accumulations build up, look at the snow depth and it was only 5PM |

| Towards midnight the snow changed over fully to freezing rain and
things got pretty ugly, I took a trip into Toronto at 1AM to drop a friend home, the ham
radio antenna collected a good deal of ice.
